Located just 8 miles from Cashiers, NC, the pristine waters of Lake
Glenville rest between mountains,
forests, and pasture land. Its elevation (highest
elevation of any lake east of the Mississippi) assures for wonderfully cool evenings all
summer long. Along its
26-mile shoreline, one will discover four gorgeous waterfalls
that
flow into this ecologically pure lake. On many maps, you will find
the lake
listed as Lake Thorpe;
the locals, however, have always known it by its real name, Lake
Glenville.

The surrounding neighbors on the lake
consist of permanent and second-home residences mixed with week long guests, such as
yourselves. Finley Forest Trail, along which Hemlock Hill, Fox Hollow and
Fern Bank Cottages are located, provides for
wonderful strolls
along shaded mountain roads.
Along with the activities the lake provides, the surrounding area, known as the
"Land of Waterfalls," provides an abundance of great hiking, biking, rafting and
horseback riding.
Signal Ridge Marina on Lake Glenville provides boat rental by the
day or week.
Cashiers
